Praying for the victims in disaster areas   advocating the spirit of universal fraternity
A donation of more than 30 million Yuan to the disaster area of Wenchuan county from ZhongShan Mausoleum scenic area

On the afternoon of May 14, a moving donation ceremony was held on Fraternity Square in Dr.Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum. The cadres and workers of the administration bureau of ZhongShan Tomb and the Chinese and foreign tourists on the spot donated generously. The donated money to the victims in earth-stricken area of Wenchuan County amounted to 304,000 Yuan, of which 200,000 Yuan was donated by the administration bureau of Dr.Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum.
After the 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Wenchuan County in Sichuan province on the afternoon of May 12, the cadres and workers of Dr.Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum were in great grief and they closely concerned about the situation in the disaster area. The disaster relief should be carried out without delay! As a saying goes: When disaster strikes, help comes from all sides! The whole staff of the administration bureau of Zhongshan Tomb appeals to donate money to the disaster area by their own actions and emotionally moved the public and tourists. The Bureau donated 200,000 Yuan to the disaster area. The cadres and workers also made contributions. Some donated 500 Yuan, some 200, and some 100. They dedicated their love, faced the disaster together with the compatriots in disaster areas, and encouraged and supported them to rebuild their homes. On the spot of the Donation, many Chinese tourists donated voluntarily. When some tourists from Hungary, Germany and the United States got to know the disastrous earthquake, they also dedicated their love and prayed for the victims. A Hungarian woman tourist expressed a common aspiration of all：“Good luck to Chinese people, good luck to China!”
