Vice-consuls of the General Consulate of Russia in Shanghai paid homage to Nanjing Memorial Hall of Aviation Martyrs
A party of three personages including Mr. Се Jinnuo and Mr. Страхов•Александр(Vice-consuls of the General Consulate of the Russian Federation in Shanghai) paid a visit to Nanjing Memorial Hall of Aviation Martyrs.
First of all, Mr. Се Jinnuo and Mr. Александрextended their greeting of Spring Festival to such personages as Mr. Shen Xianjin (vice-director of the Administration of Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum) who came to receive him. Thereafter, the consuls respectfully offered wreaths to pilots of former Soviet Union who sacrificed their life for the Anti-Japanese War of Chinese people at the Chinese battlefield during World War Ⅱ in front of the Monument of Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs.
Then, these guests visited the Memorial Hall in the company of the receptionists of the Administration of Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum. While listening to the explanation with interest, the two consuls viewed the pictures and written descriptions as well as inquired the guide about the aerial warfare against Japanese invaders. The two consuls gazed very attentively at such exhibits as a pair of flight gloves used byПолынин and a flight cap used by Blagovescenschi (Both of them were pilots of former Soviet Union at that time), as well as made a detailed inquiry about the two pilots of former Soviet Union.
After this visit, both parties conducted a friendly and candid exchange with each other. Mr. Се Jinnuo said in fluent Chinese: When he paid a visit to the Memorial Hall of Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs a year ago, capital construction was being unfolded here; He had not expected that both hardware and software facilities should have been completed within less than half a year; He could not help feeling much amazed each time he came here! Shen Xianjin (vice-director) pointed out that: As the major inheritor of former Soviet Union, Russia has considerable experience in the exhibition of the historical data about World War Ⅱ. He wished that he could exchange views with his Russian peers at an appropriate time. The two consuls answered: “Friendship between China and Russia boasts a long history, and it is the responsibility of Russia and China to make descendants of both parties remember the history of those years.” (Drafted by Sun Yao, edited by this station)
