Consuls from Russian Embassy and Ukrainian Embassy Paid a Special Visit to Nanjing Cemetery of Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs




On the morning of May 7, 2010, on the occasion of Russia’s 65th Victory Anniversary Commemoration, Sharon, Schmid, Resov and Semionov, consul general, vice consul general and consuls respectively of Russian embassy in Shanghai, as well as the consul general and the vice consul general of Ukrainian embassy in Shanghai visited Nanjing Memorial Hall of Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs. Mr. Shen Xianjin, vice-head of the Administration of Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum, accompanied them throughout their visit.
First, they visited Nanjing Memorial Hall of Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs. The consul generals from the Russian embassy and Ukrainian embassy gave their autograph as a remembrance respectively. Soon afterwards, the delegation led by the consul generals paid a special visit to Nanjing Cemetery of Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs and presented baskets of flowers to martyrs. Sharon remarked that Russia and China should reinforce the communication and cooperation between both parties in memorial halls in the future, and Russia would donate a batch of valuable cultural relics to Nanjing Memorial Hall of Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs again.
